I had so much fun making this for my son’s 7th Birthday that I had to share….

Make ears out of fondant
Stage 1 – The Body
- Make square Victoria Sandwich with buttercream and raspberry jam filling
- Cut out shoulders by using a plate as a template
- Cover in buttercream and smooth
- Cover with fondant and make some detail using an icing smoother
- Make a cloak with more fondant (using a large triangle-ish template shape
Stage 2 – The arms
- Make a round Victoria Sponge
- Cut out a moon shape using a plate as a guide
- Fill each sleeve shape with butter cream and jam and cover in butter cream
- Make sleeves out of fondant to cover the sponge and attach to body
Stage 3 – The head
- Make 2 hemispherical Victoria Sponges
- Cut a wedge in one, so when assembled the face will tilt forwards
- Fill with buttercream and jam
- sandwich together and shape head
- cover with buttercream
- Cover with fondant and build up basic face structure
- build up eyebrows and nose
- Head and nose detail
- cut 2 white teardrop spheres for eyes
- Add moon shaped cut outs for top and bottom eyelids (use a small circle cutter)
- paint eyes using gel food colouring thinned with gin!
- Cut out a small semi circle in body, make more hood to hide attachment of head
- Make ears out of fondant and attach. Hooray! A jedi baker you have become!
